About Shepherd's Hey Farm
Operating under the motto Just What Nature Provides, Shepherd's Hey Farm raises all-natural lamb, Toulouse geese, and goose eggs on pasture just north of Albany and the Mohawk River. The lambs and geese are free to roam the untreated pasture and feed on spent grain from local microbreweries and occasionally local natural whole corn. The geese are free to scratch about the land and search for insects. Live animals and lamb meat are available for purchase year-round. Geese are sold live only. Eggs are available in March and April. The meat, eggs, and other products such as fleece and yarn are sold directly from the farm. Customers are encouraged to call ahead of time to place an order.
