Calkins Creamery on Highland Farm
About Calkins Creamery on Highland Farm
Calkins Creamery produces raw milk farmstead artisan cheese right on the family farm. Milk is transferred directly from the farm's bulk tank into the cheese vat in the creamery. This results in the freshest milk possible for cheesemaking. The farm also offers beef and whey-fed pigs. The family farm was established in 1841 and is in the process of introducing additional sustainable practices with the hope of sustaining the farm another 166 years. The farm and creamery are operated by Bill Bryant, his two sons Zack and Mike and his youngest daughter Emily (the cheesemaker). We welcome visitors to our beautiful corner of Wayne County. Visit our beautiful new creamery, then stop by Calkins Creek Vineyard (a stone's throw), and stay over at one of the area's lovely bed and breakfasts.Near This Listing
