About Urban Growth KC

Urban Growth (UGKC) is a locally based Non-Profit Organization dedicated to the revitalization of Kansas City. UGKC is farmers and gardeners from all areas of the metro, who bring their knowledge and skills of traditional farming and agriculture into the light of the 21st century. We build community vegetable farms (Mini Farms) and different types of gardens. Mini Farms are areas of sustainable agriculture that are married into the city core and community areas. Building an interactive, better looking, green community that all Kansas Citians can proper from. UGKC has blended our passion for agriculture with the philosophy of health and community outreach. Our philosophy speaks to the love we have for nature, plants, and the people around us! Increasing the accessibility of locally grown organic produce is only a step. By making the knowledge of sustainable agriculture openly available to low income households and local communities transcends the means of giving to instilling. UGKC also provides workshops to teach the community the concepts of sustainable urban city agriculture.
