Avalon International Breads
About Avalon International Breads
Avalon Bakery is a large bakery where 100% organic flour and in many cases organic and locally sourced ingredients are used. Avalon Bakery purchased 750 lbs of local tomatoes, garlic, greens and myriad vegetables from the Grown in Detroit cooperative, a collaborative of over 90 Detroit growers. Waste food is composted for Earthworks Urban Farm at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen on the east side of Detroit and compostable paper goods are used for coffee and other food served. In addition to the wide variety of breads, pastries are also made. Their baked goods are available in Ann Arbor at the Ann Arbor People’s Co-op, Morgan and York, The Produce Station and more.Near This Listing
