Alemany Farmers' Market
About Alemany Farmers' Market
Open year-round!
Alemany Farmers' Market was founded in 1943 as the first farmers’ market in California, a wartime measure to provide an outlet for surplus and distressed crops from neighboring counties. Commonly known as “the people’s market" for its long history, affordable prices and bustling community atmosphere, the market's colorful stalls and free parking are only a few of many features that distinguish Alemany from other markets in the City. Farming families have been selling at Alemany two or even three generations. Stop by any Saturday of the year, rain or shine, for local produce, prepared goods and more.
