The hyper-creative team behind State Bird Provisions have conceptualized a restaurant based on the marriage of tenets that provide the restaurant's namesake. First, that their state bird is the California Valley Quail. Second, that the very definition of "Provisions" is the providing or supplying of something, esp. food & drink. With this in mind, State Bird Provisions defines itself as "an adventurous, inventive, delicious, thoughtful contemporary American restaurant [CA native]." What started as a recipe for serving quail, has slowly evolved into a restaurant without any programmed elements and whose mission is to consistently provide a unique environment where people can expect interesting high quality creative food and meaningful service. And with a sincere interest in local, organic and well crafted ingredients, their team respects the food they serve from start to finish.
