El Poquito
About El Poquito
El Poquito, a mexican cantina, located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia is named after iconic cafe racer motorcycles that were raced up the coast of Mexico and into Baja California'in the 1970's – often outfitted with a sideboard for carrying a surfboard – El Poquito (literally "little one" or, more familiarly, "the underdog") was inspired by coastal Mexican cuisine, crafted to order from peerlessly fresh ingredients and served simply and al fresco whenever possible. The restaurant sources as many of their ingredients locally as they can, including a special Mexican coffee blend that was created just for them by neighboring Chestnut Hill Roasters and breads from award-winning local bakery Baker Street.
